Academy Students Participate in the Intel ISEF

2015 Intel ISEF 62015 Intel ISEF 5Six students participated in the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) held in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Matthew Caffet, Maggie Steiner, Reagan Spexarth, Michael Bohnet, and the team of Christine Castagna and Matthew Frangos were among the 1700 students from more than 40 countries competing for prizes and scholarships.

Two of our students placed and won Special Awards. Matthew Caffet earned Fourth Place in the Energy: Physical Category and received a Special Award from the Society of Exploration Geophysicists. Maggie Steiner earned a Fourth Place Award in the Behavioral and Social Sciences category and received a Special Award from the American Psychological Association.

The students had the opportunity to present their projects to experts in the field and meet representatives from the Special Award agencies. The venue provides the students the very valuable opportunity to meet and network with students from many countries!
