Facilitate Communication
- Publish the Student Directory
- Google Earth map to facilitate car pools for out-of-zone students and participation in clubs and activities
- Frequent communication to parents (emails, letters, AST newsletter and updated website)
- Publish annual Academy Profile (sent in conjunction with college and scholarship applications)
- Class Representatives to enhance communication and participation in networking activities
- Provide opportunities for interaction with Headmaster and networking with other AST parents through Coffee with the Headmaster and Evening with the Headmaster program and parent lunches & dinners.
Support Educational Objectives, Teachers and Students
- Coordinate and sponsor Student Explorations, tours, guest speakers both live and remote lectures.
- Develop mentor connections for Research and Problems projects, Internships, Robotics, Science Fair, Destination ImagiNation (DI) & Envirothon. Support student travel expenses, registration fees at local and national events. Promote STEM interest in community outreach activities.
- Provide Headmaster Discretionary Funds to cover costs of programs & equipment not funded by CISD
- Solicit and administer Academy Grants for benefit of AST students and curriculum
- Coordinate Monthly Academy Teacher Appreciation Program
- Help support teacher and counselor professional development expenses
Promote the Academy Community
- Plan and host numerous events including:
- Entering freshman – Parent Orientation, Dessert Reception & FISH Camp
- Coffee with the Headmaster and Evening with the Headmaster program (one of each per semester)
- Parent Luncheons & Dinners ( 2 per semester)
- All Academy Back to School Swim Party
- All Academy Picnic
- Science Fair Night
- Internship Night
- Professional Lectures and Explorations
- Seniors – Day at Challenge Course & Senior Gala

- Improve membership and donation participation by communicating PAST goals clearly and regularly
- Coordinate production and sales of Academy Logo items and assist with distribution
- Review and update Academy By-Laws as needed (updated in 2015)
- Partner with TWCP PTO, as appropriate & P.A.S.T. Liaison attends TWCP PTO meetings
- Promote AST Alumni Network
- Organize P.A.S.T. volunteers to support AST Events & Activities
