The technical team composed of Caroline Booth, Anna Cunningham, Nicholas Esposito, Makenzie Higdon, Jack Overbeck, Jheri Richards ad Dylan Stobart also had a winning performance and earned Third Place.
Another senior team composed of Collin Bryant, Wenting Chang, Jack Dimpel, Heather Morriss, Priya Srivastava, Kennedy Sterling and Tess Volanski finished Fourth Place with their winning performance.
The team that earned first place selected the challenge Feary Tales that required them to have a fairy tale story with a character with a phobia, an optical illusion, and two types of art. They are very proud of the chameleon costume programmed with lights that changed colors and the animal’s mood changed and the amount of work it took to create it.
DI Global Finals is an international competition with teams from around the world gathering to compete in one of six different academic challenges to highlight their skills in creativity and innovation. This year’s competition hosted more than 17,000 students and volunteers and featured 1400 teams. Nearly twenty percent of the teams were international from 20 countries such as China, Canada, Turkey, Qatar, South Korea and Mexico.
