Students and mentors traveled to St. Louis, MO April 22-25th, 2015 to compete in the FIRST World Championships. More than 800 teams out of 3000 teams world‐wide qualified for the event.
Texas Torque (name for Team 1477) competed against 73 other teams on the field known as Galileo. The team was selected to be part of an alliance with Team 365 (Miracle Workerz from Wilmington, Delaware) and Team 494 (Martians from Goodrich, Michigan). Due to a robot malfunction the alliance was defeated in the first Quarter Finals. However, another Texas team, 118, the Robonauts from Clear Lake was in the alliance that won the competition.
